Alternatives · Housecall Pro alternative

A Housecall Pro alternative your business owns.

WeBuildInWeeks builds a custom home services app around the work your team does: online booking, dispatch, reminders, and invoicing. We scope your service areas, callback rules, and pricing, agree on a fixed build price, and transfer the code to you. Hosting, messaging, payments, and maintenance have separate costs.

We've already turned a $30,000-a-year subscription into software a client owns outright. That one was a dialer; for home services the mechanics are the same.

Your shortlist is missing an option

Another home services platform.

An existing product with a subscription, vendor support, and features you can start using quickly. Compare its total cost and fit against a custom build.

Different tool, same $30,000-a-year problem

The client we did this for was renting a sales platform at $30,000 a year and working around it daily. We rebuilt the parts they actually used as software they own, shipped in weeks, with no licence attached to headcount.

A home services business has the same anatomy in a different order: a job, a customer, a technician, a calendar, and money that needs collecting before the van leaves the driveway. None of that requires renting a platform once it's been built for you.

Ownership

Two ways to own it

Both end the same way — with software that belongs to you instead of a login you keep paying for.

Own it outright

One flat build fee. When it ships, the repositories, the accounts, and the documentation are handed to you. Run it on your own infrastructure, hand it to your own developer, change anything you want.

Either way, you own the code. The care plan is a convenience, never a leash.

Before you switch platforms again

How much does a custom Housecall Pro alternative cost?

The price depends on dispatch rules, technician and office permissions, recurring jobs, payments, integrations, and data migration. Our estimator gives a starting range; a written scope determines the fixed quote. Compare the full switching cost and ongoing operating expenses against the subscription you would actually remove.

Will owning the app eliminate every monthly bill?

No. There is no per-technician license for the custom app we build, but hosting, backups, email and SMS delivery, card processing, and maintenance still need a budget. These costs depend on usage and scope. Include them before calculating savings.

How do our customers and job history come across?

We first inspect the exports and API access available on your account. Customer records, job history, recurring jobs, attachments, and payment records may require different migration steps. The scope identifies what can transfer, what stays archived, and how we reconcile the imported records before your team switches.

Can customers still book online from our website?

Yes. A booking flow can live on your domain with your branding, service areas, available times, and job types. We define those rules during scoping and connect bookings to the dispatch workflow. Hosting a booking flow on your domain does not by itself guarantee better search rankings.

What about taking payment in the field?

Card payment is built into the job screen through a processor account in your name, so the rates you negotiate are the rates you pay. No platform sits between you and the money.

Do we keep Housecall Pro running during the build?

Yes. Keep it running while the replacement is built and tested. Before a pilot, agree on which system owns new bookings and invoices so records do not drift or duplicate. Cancel only after acceptance, data checks, and any required notice period.

What if we want changes six months later?

You own it, so change is a conversation about scope rather than a feature request that gets triaged and closed. The optional care plan covers ongoing work and cancels any time.

Also paying for Jobber, ServiceTitan or Buildertrend?

Most businesses are renting more than one. The argument is the same every time — and so is the fix.

Jobber alternative

Quoting, scheduling, invoicing — built around how your crews actually run a day, and owned.

ServiceTitan alternative

You're paying for an enterprise platform and using a slice of it. We build the slice, and you own it.

Buildertrend alternative

Selections, change orders, draw schedules and a client portal — built the way your firm builds.
